In 2018, Derek Vaughan, then head of quantitative analysis, led a core team of 30 people and spent 18 months to build the industry's first AI trading system with an ethical constraint mechanism - the Athena system.

We attach great importance to explainability and take "visibility and accountability" as the core of AI system design. In 2020, the Athena system launched the "decision tracing" function:

  • The weight distribution of 127 influencing factors behind each transaction is clearly visible
  • Investors can fully track the logical path and judgment basis of AI

At the same time, we are working with the Future of Humanity Institute at the University of Oxford to build an AI training sandbox containing 23 ethical scenarios to ensure that the system still adheres to value alignment in complex ethical environments.
